Thanks for the heads up. I got the 5/16"x4" because I like them a little longer. Figured 3 for $7 wasn't too bad.

I use a drawstring system to secure my army steels, I plan on doing the same.. At the end of the day though, I'm not a big fan of keeping all my gear on my sheath. I prefer having a dedicated fire kit.

To answer your question, yes these work very well according to him. They are a bit softer so they shower molten fire.

If your concerned about them not fitting an ''army'' version firesteel holder.. Just use a security strap like a drawstring which I do anyway. After all, the army steels don't stay that size forever anyways

Last one I got only took 1 week. The one before that 11 days. So generally at most 2 weeks for me.Might just do a quick video atleast showing how they spark later on
