Plus 41 F and rain here in the "frozen north." I just love it when I can send messages like this to relatives in who give me grief for moving here - I've seen the time when it was 40 degrees warmer in this corner of Alaska that it was in Oklahoma. Love it.

We have been in a deep freeze and steady cold temps at 15-25 Degrees for the past two months. A stagnant low pressure is just hanging on the Eastside of the Cascades. Freezing Fog and visibility sucks. We were going to hike up the mountain to hunt for sheds, but it's just too nasty up there yet. Nearly two feet of frozen hard pack still on the ground.
There has been no sunlight for a couple weeks. It's depressing.

We postponed our campout from Jan . 12 to this weekend because it was just too balmy and it is definitely more winter like now . Highs of about 10 to 12 degrees F last two days . One of the guys wives is going to sew us a patch if it gets below zero this weekend . I was just out in the barn making cozys for the water jugs because there may not be any snow on the ground .
