Today, the postman was kind to me and brought me two incredible packages.
One, from Mike (knifeman85) containing a large quantity of fatwood, which I have placed around the house as an air freshener.
Mike, I can't thank you enough for the generous amount of piney goodness. It'll make this year's rainy season much more enjoyable.
The other package was a gift from my girlfriend as an early birthday present (it's still a couple weeks off, but with her bank being screwy at times, she played it safe and ordered early).
In it was what many have lusted over as the primo shelter set up. One, 10' X 10' coyote tan BCUSA tarp.
Now for the bitter part of all this sweetness. Given recent unseen financial trials (healthcare providers giving people the shaft), the tarp may be the first item on the chopping block as it has a higher resale value than anything else I own these days. I'm hoping that isn't the case, but even just having it in hand and seeing the quality of its build is making me hope harder for a break once in my life.
Anyway, enough of my ranting. I have the scent of pine to enjoy.
