Good morning all, I jus thought I would share this with you. I woke up this mornign to find that for the second time this week it is -50degrees Celcius outside, that translates to -64.4 Fahrenheit. THat is with the wind chill factor but it is -42 without. Incidentally the Fahrenheit and Celsius scales meet up at -40 and then differ again. It's cold out thats for sure.

Holy doodle! That's seriously chilly! Just a suggestion, if I may - don't choose tonight for your "night out with only a wool blanket" outing.

-30c near Ottawa and the goats have frosty beards this morning. Milking at these temps is no fun!

Second night in a row down to -30F here. My pipes froze under the house, luckily not burst, but I had to spend a half hour with the hand torch to get them thawed.

Yeah, we'd be sweating with a wool blanket down here, lol. High of 75 for today.

We've deen experiencing that same cold snap in the near north of Ontario. It was -38 Celsius here as of 9 AM. The forecast daytime high is -21 (that's a high of -6 F).

My wife and I went out for a walk yesterday and the cold and wind were making our eyes water. I am not exaggerating when I say the tears were frozen on our cheeks. But we just put on the wool layers with a thin wind-breaking nylon later over the wool and we weren't cold at all. You just need to dress right, have a full belly, and move around to keep the blood flowing.

Nevertheless, I'm happy not to be cold-camping out in this weather. The nights are really long at these temperatures, so that stretch of time between sundown and going to bed feels really long.

Wow that is about as cold as it gets, it was 6 F this morning for me. For some reason I was expecting someone from California to post how it was 45 and brutishly cold haha
