a shop near me in Plainfield, IL has 25 Ar's in stock right now. there are some colts, some S&W M&p moe versions, and some daniel defense's. The shop is call Megasports. look into them if the drive is worth it.

Edit: By the way, these rifles are not marked up to a rediculous price. its not my favorite shop but they do pretty good business.

You can't even find parts these days. I'm on 4 backorder lists for lower parts kits just for spares.

"A good source for AR's..." would be my buddy's closet

He could arm the entire NYPD. It's a sickness.

Building is even more expensive honestly. At the local gun show no one is selling any lowers cheaper than $400 for polymer and $500 for aluminum. You would be lucky to get the Lower Receiver made for under $900. :Sigh:

Now is not the best time to buy. I was at a large gun show last weekend and saw ARs selling for between $1600 and $2800 depending on the make and model. .223 ammo was around $1400 for 1K rounds. AR mags were between $30 and $100. Prices are extremely high right now. Wait a few months and see what happens.
