Default What's the most money you've spent on a blade?

I spent $250 on a TOPS Tom Brown Tracker... I dunno that it was worth the $, but I did it.

I know there are other blades out there that are uber-expensive when compared to the TOPS Tracker. I've often considered them, but can never bring myself to do it.

So, how about you guys... (?)

I picked up the latest Turdley forum knife with sheath and it was about $350 I think. I don't know if I will ever go over that. That was pretty steep for me.

I got ripped off $385 for my Turley. But then I got one for free so it worked out. I suspect you'll get a lot of "Turley" answers in this thread.

I don't want to talk about it, but worth every penny.
Fragrant little chips of history spewed from the saw cut, and accumulated on the snow before each kneeling sawyer. We sensed that these two piles of sawdust were something more than wood: that they were the interfered transect of a century; that our saw was biting its way, stroke by stroke, decade by decade, into chronology of a lifetime, written in concentric annual rings of good oak.
