My highest was 1100.00 for custom Dozier folder in Damascus with gorgeous mammoth ivory. Sold it about a year later for the same money and it sold for 1350.00 by the dealer I sold it to. Try not to go much over 500.00 anymore but will be paying 765.00 for the original Turley Green River in a couple of days at the Ohio Meet. I only hope that when I die my wife sells my knives for what they are worth and not what I told her i paid for them. Luckily she has no interest what-so-ever in this forum![]()

All I'll admit to is that I've overpaid on knives that I don't use much and underpaid on knives that I use everyday. I guess if you like knives it's just going to be like that.

$400.00 on a custom at a knife show from a little known maker. It was about $300.00 too much and i had no idea what kind of fixed blades i liked at the time.
Went to a giveaway on a forum after sitting in my safe for years.
