Default Canada - known for it's bacon?

I don't see a subforum for "silliness" so I am putting this in food since it's bacon related.

Good for a chuckle, especially if your a Canuck.

"When asked what first comes to mind when thinking about Canada, 52% of 2,750 Americans polled said "Canadian bacon"."

Living in Iowa, where there a twice as many pigs as humans, I find that funny. I do love pork, and all of those that provide it, where ever it comes from.

I like this line, lol: "We wanted to complete the poll but government cuts and the renewal of Don Cherry's contract made that impossible," said a CBC spokesperson.

Proper "Canadian Bacon" is back bacon, not the fatty strips you yanks are used to eating. A lot of you guys would probably think it was ham.

Canadian bacon rules!! Poutine is great also. Then again if you go to Newfoundland you can try seal flipper pie.

I made some Canadian bacon remark to a customer from Canada once and they said "Canadian whu?" I showed them some and they said "We call that ham." lol Okie Dokie then.
