Default DIY iPhone 5 (or other smartphone) Tripod Mount

I have recently started using my iPhone to take more videos and photos and would also like to use it for future outings. To improve the image quality, it was important to me to figure a way of mounting it to a tripod.

The issue: Most mounts available look kind of cheap in quality or, if of good quality, are too expensive.

So, I headed out to one of my favorite places outside of the woods, the hardware store.

    Materials:
    - $2.50 clamp ($5 for set of 2)
    - $0.13 adhesive felt ($2 for set of 16)
    - ~$1.25 1/4-20 bolt and coupler

Here's a quick video talking about how it all came together.

    Thanks for looking!

Awesome, alukban, glad you will get some use out of it. To be frank, I put this together from other people's ideas I found online. Keep passing it along.

Very cool idea and cheap. I have everything already but the mini tripod. I think I'll make one like this too. Perfect for the backpack and iPhone. Thanks for posting.
