    Default Just bought my first atlatl off a member here and wow is it hard lol

    Im gd out to 10 yards so far and my 12 yr old is a crack shot at 20. There's no season to hunt with one here but its another reason to get outdoors with my boy. Now i have to buy one for him and now the wifey wants to try it this shud be fun to watch

    how about a few pics or a short vid? that is a VERY interesting idea for a home made means of hunting.

    Makes you wonder how ancient people were able to persevere without knowing tough skills like this and even bowdrill would work. I'd be eating a lot of uncooked plants apparently. Have some fun and update on your progress!

    Good on you, bc85, for getting out and learning a new skill.
    Remember that primitive peoples were raised on such things from the time they could walk, and you're just starting out. Be patient with yourself and keep it up. No surprise your son does better, little kids learn so much faster than us old timer.

    It's fun as all though it takes alot of practice but ill keep at it. Ive always been a gd archer shooting competition and all having sponsors but this appeals to me more to bad i cant hunt with it that be killer to harvest a deer with one
