Out for exercise and fresh air to Discovery Park (formerly Fort Lawton). A cool grey Seattle winter day that some how makes the green of the mosses even more vibrant.

Sorry, it's an urban park and so no fires or camping.
The old fort's property is interesting, being the site of a wild park, the lighthouse, a few historic fort buildings, a huge aviation radar dome, a previous Nike missile site (completely gone now), and Seattle's major sewage treatment plant (which is a surprisingly good inconspicuous neighbor).
On my walk I spotted a male bald eagle flying not 50' above me, too quickly past for me to deploy the camera.
I believe it's the largest park in Seattle and when you are in the midst of the woods the city might as well be hundreds of miles away.
