Swampman, Thanks for vid. One of the better vids I've seen. It addresses in an understandable way the release and the importance of consistency. I myself struggle with the release and the tendency to pluck. Being relatively new to trad archery I wish I would have seen something like this when I started.
It's so eazy to develope bad shooting habits when you dive into trad archery and try to teach yourself. I guess that's why so many shooters will recogmend finding a shooting coach when you
start.

Great vids, some of you guys might want to check out the "masters of the barebow" video series, tons of good info & some of the long range shooting will blow your mind!
I think that a lot of problems come from the term "release". People could refer to the process as "loose" the arrow. After the archers shot preperation has gone from hooking to anchor the next three steps often determine the quality of the shot. From anchor next is transfer, where the load of the draw moves to back muscles. As that occurs the string is pulled from the fingers and all that is left is a good follow thru and lastly feedback
