Default hand sewed my second bag, with canvas type material and deer bone buttons

    hey all,
i hand swewed my second bag out of this green, canvas type material and cut down a leg bone in half and cut two long buttons out of it and drilled two holes in each. then threaded the bones thru the outside of the bag with leather rope (for lack of better word), so they go thru the holes in the flap to secure. I made it to be my food bag, which will hold my cook kit, spice bag and food i take. it turned out to be just about big enough to be a small knapersack if i decide to put a carrying strap on it. i didnt measure anything but kinda eyeballed it or used my hands and fingers for crude measurements when sewing. I want to thank Sgt. Mac for giving the idea of sewing the ditty bag and actualy it turns out to be very relaxing to me. I got the idea of the bones from seeing a guy colecting bones on youtube for tools and other uses and found these bones last weekend and took em home to try.
all of you give me such good idea's on here and those of you with youtube channels. I cannot thank all of you enough for inspiring me to do buscraft and hope you all give advise as i post things i do in the feild.

Nice work. I am a big believer in self made gear myself. I'm sure you will enjoy using a piece of gear you made yourself.
