Default Self made all bamboo bow

Made this with a bamboo back and belly, action boo core and plyboo cross grain in the riser. Came in at about 50lbs and has killed pig and ram in Texas.bamboo bow strung.jpgbamboo bow back.jpgbamboo bow riser.jpg

That is beautiful! Would love to see how you made it.

+1 to this. I've been researching bow making lately and would love to see how you made this one.

I need to start start taking pics all the way through the process. This one I glued up in in form, shaped out the profile on the bandsaw with touch up on the sander and tillered the belly. I will say this was one of the harder bows I have made as the bamboo belly gave me some fits.

I have been thinking about making a flat bow out of an osage-bamboo laminate. It is on the list of Stuff To Get Done.

I have a very cool PVC bow I made for my for daughter that I will post when I get some pics. The PVC bows are cheap and work great. Plus they give the beginning bowyer some reference into bow characteristics.
