Well I received an email informing me that it just shipped yesterday (Feb. 3rd) so hang in there. I'll post again as soon as it arrives.

Mine arrived yesterday. It seems like a fit for what I want. IE, a mild weather southern hikeable tent. I reinforced the poles with some tape, and I'll be reinforcing some of the stitching at what I consider to be key spots, and then treating it with sealer also.
One thing I didn't expect is that it came with its own groundcloth. Neato. But, if that piece had been sewn into the tent, rather than included seperately I'd have liked it better. My idea is to use the bottom and netting in conjunction with a tarp, and not use the rainfly at all. This will allow me to see out easily while still protecting me from the bugs we have to live with here in the south. Edited to add, I took a pic with my youngest daughter as a model.

That looks very similar to my Eureka Solitare tent/bivvy.
I used it when hiking the Centennial trail and didnt find any problems with condensation. Like some one else said (sorry cant rem the name) You learn from your mistakes and anything that gets you out in the woods for $25 cant be all that bad!!

I have this exact model... the main pole snapped during some windy camping, but it's still usable, and condensation wasn't too bad.
I like it overall... even with the pole snapped, I just did a quick repair with some tape, and it's still usable. I caught mine on clearance at a local Gander Mountain for something around $15 or $20, and didn't really expect much. The first trip I made with it was a short backpack trip through Zaleski State Forest in Southern Ohio... The first night of the trip it decided to rain and storm pretty good, but the Bivy held up quite well. Here is a picture of it set up. ![]() (blurred out my buddies face to protect the innocent... LOL) I really need to contact the company to try and get a new pole for it.
