I'm looking for a good resource for Axe Maker Marks. I have a double bit I just picked up and would like to ID it. I can read part of the mark, but not enough, seeing examples would help.

That's a fine vintage axe you have there! I have a few plumbs myself...

IMG_0338.jpg We picked up an old axe head today at the local flea market. The only marking we can make out is some lettering starting with D. and ending with LA. We can not make anything else out on it. Anyone have any ideas as to what it could be? IMG_0337.jpg
