Brass lite is having a scratch and dent sale right now until the stoves are gone. I'd post a link but I don't know how. Sorry.

I purchased one a couple years ago, they have slight imperfections, but they still work great. They are a well made stove.

I almost bought the trail baker too. Then I realized it's just a small tin with a few chains to hang it inside a dutch oven or large pot.

I think I am going to build me one of those.

No problem guys. I was turned on to the sale from a gentleman over at hammockforums.com and thought some people here could use a great deal on a killer stove too. Hope everyone that ordered gets them.

But if you really want to thank me, just throw money please. Bills with Benjamin Franklins portrait would be greatly appreciated. LOL. :30:

Not sure but it was on the top of the page in red letters that said "Scratch and Dent sale". Just click on that and it should take you to it.

There is a blank spot on that page where it was. No scratch and dent sale now I guess. Has anyone received theirs yet ? I'm still waiting.

Same here as well. I was thinking I may send an email tomorrow to see what's going on. If it's a scratch and dent, he obviously doesn't have to MAKE anything...lol

I ordered a regularly priced II-D model on the 6th and received an email earlier this evening, stating that there was a delay in shipping out orders due to a family health issue and that the order would go out asap.

Games over, My beloved Packers lost. So to get my mind off of it I went out and test fired my new brasslite. Just dumped a splash of Heet into it, less then an ounce for sure with enough over spill to give it a good prime and it fired right up and burned for about 8 minutes. Much longer then many of my other alky stoves with the same amount of fuel.
All in all it looks like its going to be a great little stove and will make a welcome addition to one of my many kits.

So bottom line is :dblthumb: :4:.

Mine tends to do the same thing. I bought 2 and they haven't showed up yet. I read on the hammock forums that the guy sold over 200 and it'll take him a few days to get 'em all shipped

Same here. I don't see anything wrong with it. It burned just fine. The vent ring is a little tight but other than that...

Mine came in the mail yesterday. Been busy with family visiting. I noticed the vent ring was tight too. I think it might a little crudded up. Hit the open areas with steel wool and just worked the vent till it loosened up.

I ordered 2. Both arrived today (box was small enough to fit in a mailbox). 1 has some very slight dents in the bottom...both have the tight vents already mentioned, but I think they'll work great. Try em out in a few.

I'm going to attempt a hamburger in my chinese cast iron skillet. If I stop posting you'll know it was chinese poisoning.

I think the simmer ring should be tight. It is an air control. Mine doesn't seem overly tight. Mine has some damage around the edge of the priming tray. There is one spot that may leak alcohol even. I think since it is soldered together I can solder the edge and clean it up.

Wicked great buy though. I hope anyone that missed out gets a chance later on.

This absolutely my favorite alcohol stove now! I love the way this thing burns and can adapt to many pots or be used in my vargo wood stove. It may not be for the gram counters but will be in my pack for sure. Nice well made piece of equipment that I'll gladly pay full price for if I have to buy another.
