    I feel your pain completely. I'm up to 330. I was able to get down to 280 last year but fell off and trying to get motivated to get back to doing something. I just adopted a new dog that came from a foster that was extremely active so I've made myself start walking her more it gets me moving. Now if I could stay on track with eating better I'd be good.

    I'll second the recommendation to start swimming it's an incredible workout a 20-30 min swim 2 or 3 times a week would be a great start.

    At 43 I share your less enthusiastic outlook on age. I've been on a weight loss journey for over 3 years. This has been a BAD holiday season for me, and with the winter weather kicking in, that makes my regular back pains feel even more miserable.

    Let's have a cheer for 2017 and feeling better about out 40-something selves!

    Yeah, this holiday has buggered up my gym schedule. I was fine before Christmas, but got sick right after which laid me low for days and I did something to my right wrist, so too sore for weights today.

    First Weight Watchers meeting of the year tomorrow. Not looking forward to it in some respects, but on the other hand, looking forward to feeling a sense of self control again after some ghastly food choices and lack of exercise over the holidays!

    I actually made through it without gaining much weight at all, just a lb or two.

    Wish I could say the same. Just before Christmas I did a weigh in and had gained 2 lbs. The holidays didn't get any better :( Tonight will be the moment of truth and reality, and than on to the hard work of getting back to where I was and then moving on from there.

    Congrats on your decision. A healthy body and lifestyle go a long long way. Remember it's always progress not perfection! Just stay focused and work on it each day.
