I have come to really enjoy making these..We use only good quaility american made files like nicholson or black diamond and good known steel..Like 1095 and W1..I full harden all strikers..I use parks 50 to quench..its very nearly as fast as water without all the harsh side effects..I normalize all strikers after forging and have no problems with breaking..i offer them as striker only or as kits..The kit will include char cloth, jute twine and flint..All packed in a 4" tine stamped withour touchmark..
    here are some examples..

Looking good! Glad to see another blacksmith in the vendors. Did I miss it, or what kind of prices are we talking on the strikers?

Yes, Ive shipped to Canada many times...Ive shipped stuff to Austrailia many times and even a axe to Israel..About the only place Im leary of shipping too is certain parts of South America because of the "spotty" mail service..Otherwie if someone dosnt care to pay the extra shipping Ill send it pretty much anywhere..

After reading this thread I recently contacted Lisa to get a price & see if she would ship to Australia.
Price was excellent & yes she would ship to Oz, so I boiught one.
Recieved it on Wed evening 5/12/12 & was very impressed with the fast shipping & the overall quality oif the whole kit.
Decided to do a bit o 'open fire' BBQing so put it to work starting the fire.
The flint & steel produce excellent sparks & it took next to no effort to get a good ember going in the char cloth.
Transfered that to my tinder & had dinner started cooking within 10 minutes.
First time try - total pass for sure. Easy as.

Many thanks to Lisa for a top quality product, great price, fast shipping, & excellent over-all service & communication.
An absolute pleasure to buy a top quality product from an excellent retailer.
    Very impressed.

    Bill.

Also need a cost, love the "normal" double closed ones like in the fourth pic. Was going to do it on the cheap - break a file and go that route - but would rather support your craft if possible. PM or email gusstrand at gmail

For $6 you can get Priority Flat Rate Mail.

But for First Class your probably looking at $3.

I think that's right because, its the same price as other US destinations..The strikers are $ $18.75 shipped first class.

I really dig the axe head striker! Do you have any? If so, I'll buy one!
