Been a member of the site for a little while but haven't spent a lot time here. I have lots of interests and kind of bounce around from one to another. Can't get good at any of them that way but that's me. I live in North Central Arkansas on a cattle farm. We have a popular floating creek designated as a Blue Ribbon Smallmouth Bass Stream that borders the farm. There are major lakes within 30 minutes of my house as well as the rivers full of trout that flow from them. If that isn't enough, Buffalo National River and park is just 20 minutes south of me. So I live in a beautiful area where one can enjoy the outdoors. I used to canoe every chance I could and worked a summer as a livery driver for a canoe outfitter. But that was many years ago. I've lived in several southern states over the years and canoed in Alabama and Georgia. Most notably was an overnight trip in the Okefenokee Swamp where we camped on a narrow levee and there were alligators a plenty including the one that swam under our canoe and the ones on the bank that scared the crap out of us when they spooked and came crashing into the water. I've done some overnight hikes years ago but now I'm down to shorter day hikes because of my knees and other health concerns. So now our camping is RVing with the comforts provided. Long story short is I like most things outdoors, and I've read, dreamed and participated in outdoor adventures for the last 50+ years.
