Just as my kuksas are unique, the wonderful people buying them are as well.
So far my list consists of all walks of life. Computer nerds, bushcrafters, knife makers, fashion models, magazine editors, fashion photographers, fisherman, surfers, hunters, housewives, farmers, and some are from different parts of the globe. It'dvery interesting to see an atlas one day of where my carvings find their owners.

This will be a thread for members who have purchased some of my work to post images of it in use!

I also have to say that I made my first sale last week to a really nice Japanese girl from NYC. She is actually climbing Mount Fuji as we speak. When she gets back I will have photos of my kuksa posted here to kick start this thread.

The reason I want to do this project, for one is you guys can see more examples of my work, and two it's kind of bittersweet selling something handmade. This way I can remember each one, and see the new life they have. What's the most interesting is to see how far each will journey through out it's long life.

OH YA! My dear friend Youmi is bouncing all around Japan with one of my kuksas she purchased.

She sent me a picture and wrote me this:

"It's an ancient pilgrimage trail that dates back to the 16th century! It's called the Kumano Kodo, and is definitely one of the most powerful places in all of Asia.
thanks for the kuksa! got a lot of compliments on it from the other trekkers as well as the temple's monks!"

It's a really huge thing to see my artwork travelling all around the world.. especially such an ancient and inspirational place!!

Awesome work Adahy. Do you treat the wood with anything other than beeswax?

Last weekend me and a buddy went for a hike to a hill that overlooks Giant Forest here in the Sierras. We enjoyed the views, practiced some forest skills, and relaxed with some coffee and a kuksa.

Got my ordered Kuska last week!

Adahy listened to my request for a noggin with a beaver tail handle. The "tail" was left somewhat unfinished so that I could add the finishing touches to it, making it my own. I did a little final shaping and carved in some detail lines. I then burned in the lines with an old ice pick heated up in the fire. I carved a slight groove for the leather tie to sit into instead of drilling holes in the handle.

The before photo can be seen in the first beach photo posted above.

Baptised in bourbon and coffee so far....
More photos to come soon as it gets some more use

Thanks Adahy! Hope you like the slight modifications, it will be a new old friend.

That looks so badass Gkit! I'm glad it turned out as you imagined it. I really like the idea of having a beaver tail. Can't wait to see what she looks like in 5 years.

These just showed up in the mail yesterday evening. Thought I would take a quick walk and welcome them to the desert this morning.

Whale Tale on an old rickety fence post.

Then #9 and W.T. found a comfortable spot in some sage brush to watch the morning for a bit while the coffee cooled.

Thank you Alex. I am enjoying these very much! If anyone is on the fence... GET ONE! These add a whole new dimension to the flavor of your coffee. Tis great, nuff said.

    Thanks for the testimonial Plainsman.

I really love that oversized kuksa. The grain in the handle is awesome. It ripples like that liquid you have in there. Glad it's got a good new home

Thanks Alex, Trust me the Noggin is getting MUCH use. No photos, but just last week, the precious Noggin helped me with many cups of whiskey, wine, and tea. I am already starting to see the inside color up real nice. Can't wait to test out that Kuksa your making for me!
