Got a new smkw catalog yesterday and they have a Marbles U S knife listed for $6.99.
I checked the web site to see if it was an error,j and it shows the same price. It is in stock too.
Does anyone have any experience with this knife?
It looks like all other U S knives, same ss construction.

I have the Cammillus US knife and love it. I saw the marbles one in the catalog also, looks just like it, but never had one. For 6.99 its worth a try.

Do a search for cheap us knife or Chinese us knife. I think somebody did a review on them a while ago here.

It will be Chinese made. Caveat emptor.

The going price for US made US knives is around 20 bucks at gun shows and such, my experience with most Chinese stuff has been pretty poor, very spotty quality, the sole exception is AG Russell has stuff made to his specs and stringent quyality control, the price of that knife and shipping will go a long way toward a good one.

I agree with Grey One about this knife however I have an A.G. Russell knife made in China and the quality is amazing.
I think it's all to do with the companies specifications for production. There is a bunch of low quality stuff being produced these days in China, however (sadly for us) they are quite capable of producing high end stuff.

Given the economy here in the U.S. and all the posts on a different thread about the hard times some of our members are falling on. I would rather pay more and get a USA product.
I buy USA every chance I can but in some cases our options are limited.

I bought one to use as my Boy Scout knife with the troop. The knives sold at the Scout store did not look very good so I figured for $8.99 (bought from a Marbles dist at the gun show) I would try it out. It has all the features of the classic Boy Scout knife. I am happy with it. It's solid and has performed well so far. I would like it to be US made but it's not.

I have an older (20+ year) Camillus US knife and a Marbles chinese copy. For $7 bucks its a decent copy, to bad its made in China.
I keep my Camillus in my knife display case, and the Marbles goes hiking, fishing, and other daily abuse.

I have zero expierence with Marbles, and plan to keep it that way.

I have already been down the cheap Chinese road and will never do so again.

Look for the made in America label.

I bought my Camillus US Knife off Ebay for around $27 including shipping. It's my EDC. I've handled the Marbles knife at SMKW and I don't think it's as well made.

Marbles used to stand for quality but much of their merchandise is now made in China.
