I live in New Brunswick, Canada, by the Kennebecassis River. Crossing the river by canoe or on skis gives me access to miles of mountains and woods. My business was boat rentals in nearby Fundy National Park. I still enjoy being a ski instructor, Telemark and X-country. I outfit local high school classes and lead them on ski tours near their schools. For this purpose I have developed a ski binding that works well with whatever shoes the students are wearing. These bindings are fairly easy to make and I would like to share this do-it-yourself idea with other bushcraft minded people. I was inspired to join up when I discovered a Bushcraft chat line discussing this very problem of how to use skis with normal boots as part of varied winter activity. If anyone expresses interest, I'll be glad to work up and post illustrated instructions.
