First of all, I want to thank GreyOne for his ideas. His help is greatly appreciated.

For the June Project, we are going to do some more shooting. This time it will be with a sling shot and/or a blowgun. You can use a homemade or store bought slingshot. It might be fun to make one from scratch for this project if you have the materials available.

Same goes for a blowgun. This would be a good time to make a blowgun or at least get started on one because the July project will be to construct a blowgun. You can use materials you buy or collect from the wild. Bamboo is a good natural material to use for blowguns. Bamboo shafts which would be suitable for this project can be bought at many craft stores such as Hobby Lobby or at garden supply stores. River cane can also be used.

Whatever you use, blowgun or slingshot, for the June project, take a picture and post it. If you make a slingshot or a blowgun, post pictures of the process you used.

There will be more about the July project later.

GreyOne will post the attachment for the target we will use.
All you have to do is print as many as you need.

Take 5 practice shots then take 3 official shots all at 25 feet. Post as many pictures as you want but at least post pictures of your 3 official targets and tell how you did. Whatever you do, be safe and have fun!

I made several clay balls for ammunition. I used rocks to practice with then used the clay ammo after I could hit the target. I must say it took many, many shots before I could even hit the target and I had to move in several feet. I learned at least one thing from this project. And that is, if I had to feed my family with a slingshot, I am afraid we would go hungry! It was, however, neat to see the clay balls explode when they hit something hard.

does a blowtube that had a previous life as a curtain rod work or does it have to be natural?
