Figured I would open the thread up for club name suggestions. after compilation we can post a poll to vote.

    I came up with
    okie bushcraft.
    Indidan territory bushcraft
    Oklahoma brushpoppers

Heck, after this past week how about "The Movers and Shakers"!?

I kind of like the "Red Dirt" connection. "Red Dirt Bushcrafters"?

I like Snareman's idea. That is how we got together. We should get an okay from the Elders before we vote if that name is in the running.

    I will suggest Boomer Bushcraft

    How bout... the "Red Dirtsmen"?

(I was originally starting with Red Dirt Woodsmen, but that sounded bit off...)

    How about

    Red Earth Woodsrunners
Red Earth Flint Flickers (as in starting a primitive fire)

    Indian Territory Woodsrunners

What the heck ever you call it count me in as a member.

BTW Oklahoma means Red People in Choctaw. I know all the Okies knew that but some Yankee might be reading this.

I'm likn Red Dirtsmen. I mean Oklahoma has 9 to 11 different eco-regions. Needs to be something that can speak of skills that can encompass the entire state. Kinda partial to Red Dirt Renegades as well.

Of course, a name don't mean squat if we never "actually" get together. Just sayin.

Hi Raycecil, ring leader? I'm not sure we really have one per se. We do seem to have an issue getting together though. Heck, I wouldn't mind just meeting at an IHOP and swapping tale tales. :)

Hey, guys and gals. I am back in Enid for a 2 year stint and wanted to let you know that I will be getting together with some of you around the state and hosting some outings. Also, some of the Kansas guys will probably cross over and you are all more than welcome to come North for a visit.

I'm pretty much stuck to eastern Oklahoma right now. But I'm all for a get together at Lake Tenkiller. Maybe as far as Sequoia National Park.

People live in the panhandle? I thought that was just an old story to make kids eat their veggies.

Welcome to the board fellow Okey!

So far I'm seeing about three or four of us easterners. Any of yall hunting this season?
It finally rained enough here for them to lift the burn ban. Maybe I can finally work on my primitive fire skills for bush class.

Mr _Plainsman... that sounds great!!!... Ifn I had a running vehicle I'd jump all over it ASAP... I've got 3 vehicles (67 Jeep CJ5, 88 Kawasaki KLR650, and an 82 Honda Big Red 3 wheeler) all in various stages of disassembly and repair, so I'm down to "boot heels meetin' pavement"... soon as I've SOMETHING mobile I'll definately give ya a shout... You up for some winter Bushcraftin'?
