If you got pics you're more than welcome to put them up here.
Thanks for the chance to gush a bit Iz, 010 has been seeing duty at the hearth a lot lately. Cecelia and I enjoy a fire in the stove of an evening this time of the year, so the Beauty has done her work with fire prep indoors without complaint. I do it all at the stove pretty much the same way I do it in the woods, so the task is the same, although it's not raining, or snowing.
I've got big lust for the Turley knives of DCM, and Kerri, and Ranger Joe, and Skabber, and solo, and J, and many others. But with the Beauty in hand, they dim just a little..........Uncas
I'm breaking bushcraft commandment number four, big-time. Again...
sent from my dumb phone.
Thanks for the report, man! I'm glad it's working so well for you, that makes me smile. Thanks for that.
Slick picks, brutha. Thanks for posting them!
Ha, more good news Iz! As a result of the considerable pressure I've been under from the current state of affairs, Cecelia has granted a small increase in my evening whiskey allotment. There may truely be a silver lining....God Bless..........Uncas
Hahahaha. Maybe she just wants you easily influenced, she might have more nefarious plans.
I want one !!!!
Turley Offical Knife BCUSA
Personaly Iz I would say your knives in general would be official BCUSA knives. Although I do not own one (I am on the list) I can honestly say every time I see one of your knives in use I get a little excited and go check your list. I for one would like to be able to order any of your knives with the BCUSA logo on it. As long as the person is a member in good standing of corse.
I appreciate that Neal!
I can't do any knife with the logo on it since I don't own the logo itself. I can only do this official knife with it since I've licensed the right to do it on these alone.
I appreciate the thought though and the confidence very much.
do you plan on making any more of these? or was this a limited production only? id love to get my hands on one.
I know you can get the same model, just not sure if Iz will stamp BCUSA on it or not..
Sorry, Jere. I'm not taking orders on these anymore.
I appreciate the interest though.
I have been so busy with my job lately I haven't been able to do much more than sharpen my knives and look on Trips and Expeditions section here and dream of my month off to motorcycle camp from Seattle to Ohio. I have finally sharpened the BCUSA knife I got from the recent auction here. When I first got the knife it had a pretty thick edge and I wanted to make it a bit more fine for my intended uses. I also sanded down the scales a bit to get a little more grip. Unfortunately, some of the etching is smoothed out where it wasn't too deep, but the knife will be a user not a safe queen so c'est la vie. Anyway, I'll post pics of the knife in use eventually, but here are a couple pics of the knife.
Thanks for the pics, WF. Hope you get a chance to use it soon and hope you like it.
This is correct. I never did address this I don't think.
I've decided to keep the pattern available but there won't be a bcusa logo available on them.
Thanks Iz. The design of the knife is just great. Just messing around with it I appreciate some of the features you've incorporated. I can't wait to get this thing out in the bush.
