Anyone check out one of these in person yet? - LINK - Looks like it could be a nice two-person brewkit.

I watched a YouTube review showing that it is large enough in diameter to stow a 110g cartridge...which means it may nest over a 1L Nalgene bottle.

It seems a little odd, but apparently Walgreens is selling them online and "in-store" - LINK

Not that set specifically, but I have a few recent production Stanley items - double wall mugs and a thermos - and they are well made.

I'm off to Walgreens later today... I'll have a look and let you know if they fit the 1 liter bottle.

Just realized the the folding handle setup would get in the way unless it was easily detachable.

That looks pretty cool, though I need another cook kit or nesting mug like I need more knives. Oh wait, I just ordered another one of those too

Yeah like I need to add another toy to my shopping list. Pretty neat though may have to see if WG has one here.

I went to several Walgreens and didn't find any locally...ended up ordering one.

I think it is well made, the cups that come with it are thick walled and insulated. A water bottle will not fit inside...but it will nest in a GSI or Spacesaver cup. I can get a small cartridge inside along with my Gigapower stove (without the carrying case) with some room to spare.

It will also nest with a coffee can stove setup...something along the lines of the Swiss Volcano or the Jim Wood Fire Bucket system.

Spork: I thought I spent a lot of time cruising these forums, but "You the MAN !!" :dblthumb:Great find, this (especially at the price), and the size is right on for solo & duo trips... a bit of a disappointment that my SS water bottles won't fit, but, as you point out, a full set of stove and Tea Time accoutrements will fit inside with a little room to spare... I also like the cups :27::27: since for sixty years, hot tea from SS has never been satisfactory...

Keep up the good work, buddy !

How well does the lid close on the pot? Enough that it won't pop off through casual bouncing?

It rattles a little but stays in place.

Hmmm second time checking this out very tempting. Ya know if it rattles why not just stretch a couple of heavy duty rubber bands over it?not to mention then you could store some stuff inside the pot I'm sure

Yeah, the rattle is not a big issue. I will probably sew up a fitted stuff sack for it...just tall enough to hold the lid down when the drawstring is pulled up.

The lid fits the Olicamp Mug pretty well Skab. I also tried it out on the cups I have...it will not fit the Olicamp cups...and out of three GSI Glacier cups, it will fit only the newest one. The mug will nest nicely too...the top of the rim stops right at the step on the Stanley.

The Heine can is a little smaller in diamerter grizz. I am comparing the band on the Heine with the lower portion of the Stanley.

Yeah, I went to about 5 Walgreens and didn't find it...even though their website seemed to indicate they were available "in-store"

I don't know if it has been mentioned around here before...

This Bunn lid assembly supposedly works as a lid for the GSI Glacier cup - Part #02564.0000

I haven't tried it myself and don't know how close the fit is.

Just another billy can type of pot, I don't see why that type of pot is worth having there use is too limited.

For lid to seal the GSI cup buy a 10oz can of coffee, the plastic lid should fit tight enough to seal the cup. For a drinking lid get a Jet boil stove lid, it fits the cup perfectly.

Thanks alot for all the R&D Spork! I got one headed my way. Seems like a good, cheap, little noodle/tea pot for my overnight bag.

I think I'll be setting mine up as a brew kit with the original cups. I want to built a dedicated windscreen/stand for it with an Alky burner.

I bought one of these Coleman sets a while back and I really like it.

I fry eggs and bacon, bannock and tiny pancakes in it. I've heard of some complaints of sticking in a few reviews and I just gotta say, a bit of bacon grease or a few drops of olive oil works wonders. BTW, I use this set with my DIY alky stoves.

I know its been mentioned in other threads but I was gifted a Nalgene SS Guyot bottle and I'm pretty excited that it nest in the Stanley cup. I use the Stanley all the time now it seems like a complete package.
Anyways went ahead and took some pics in case non where out there..

I got one. Wish a nalgene fit in it. The plastic lid handle melts pretty easily (duh) found that out the hard way this weekend.
Did just get a couple of the Stanley 32 oz multi-use bottle cup things

    http://www.shopstanley-pmi.com/product/7215

Haven't tried it yet, but for $8.88 at wally world it looks like a decent replacement for the guyots that you cannot get anymore.
Hope I get some time to play with it this weekend.

I know I'm going to break down and buy one anyway, but I'll go ahead and ask.

Has anyone bothered to weigh the Stanley set-up yet? I'm wondering how it compares to my MSR 775 ml Stowaway pot. They're both stainless steel, locking lids, long handles, approximately the same capacity, etc. I can't seem to find the weight online or in any of these posts.

Don't know about those bottles I got these in 24 and 32 when I got the set. It's nice bottle for the price 32 oz fits with room to spare...I use the 24 as general everyday bottle.

I just weighed mine. 13.6 oz with cups, 7.7 oz no cups but with lid. Pretty cool. Definitely good for my purpose of bicycle and motorcycle camping.
