And the new heavy Parang that hopefully I'll get to do some testing on tomorrow and/or Monday.

And here it is in the kydex/canvas sheath I sewed up for it. Probably won't be making another one. heh. It works but not as well as I'd hoped. The kydex gets compressed too much by the canvas when it's sewn down and makes it hard to get the knife in and out. Oh well, you don't know 'till you try.

Hope like 'em and thanks a ton for looking.

The red scales on that combat knife are very striking. I like them.

I'm really wanting to check the parang it this week in person. It looks awesome.

Thanks, brutha. I'm gonna fiddle with them some more, I think I can figure it out. Plus I wanna get better at the manly art of sewing.

Thanks, man. I must have had some oil still left on them because you're right they look a little different than normal.

    Thanks for looking, guys.

Out Sasquatch hunting in LA. This is the gear I use, don't recommend it for any body, it's just what works for me. I even got a big buck Sasquatch, I knew you all would want proof, so here is a picture of the gun/knife/firesteel/flashlight I used for the hunt.... proof enough I think. I'm in the Ouachita National Forest in "Lower Arkansas". This is such a different forest than my neck of Missouri.

I think the Turley #23 is all the knife any good woodsman needs. This is why I also brought a full size fixed blade for myself to use.

Heres the 1917 on Lake Michigan.

I tell ya Iz. I think of all the knifemakers out there, Ivee seen more well loved Turleys then any other. The pics of Beckmans Gasconade, Joes GR, Kerris GR, the 1917, Skabs SR, they just all look so damn nice with all the use theyve had. Look like they could tell a story about the user.

I agree, J. Looking at a well used knife just begs the question "where has it been and what has it done?". At least it does too me.

I'm really diggin' that Piney too. Which is funny because that's my Boone's Branch right below it. Both are outstanding looking knives. Can't wait to get my hands on my #18 though.

    Good job Iz.

In my opinion, that's the only handle material it should be allowed in. Yours was the inspiration when I ordered it. Chris's was the icing on the cake.
