David Wescott sent me an email asking what I would be teaching besides Tracking, Trapping and Snaring. So Thought I would put the question to those of you who will be attending.

The other classes I teach are hard sole moccasin, buffalo tail fly switch and brain tanning furs these classes aren't really bush craft so I thought I would ask to see if anyone was interested.

If I were going, I'd sign up for the hard sole moccasin class and the fur tanning class. I'd even consider scratching someones name off and adding mine if the class was full (just kidding of course)

I second this. Both are very bushcrafty! I'd be thrilled with either one.

My vote would be the moccasin first and brain tanning as a second.

If you decide on the moccasin class will you please post a material list so if possible we can come with the things needed to complete a pair at Woodsmoke? That would be a great piece of memorabilia of the event!

For the moccasin class I furnish every thing. The soles are buffalo raw hide, tops are brain tanned Buckskin, artificial or real sinew (your choice) for sewing thread. All tools are also furnished all you would need to bring is yourself. The cost is $90.

That sounds good. Can you post a picture of what they look like - what design you use?

Here is a picture of the moccasins that are made in the class. I left the tongue square but you can cut the tongue anyway you want.

Any updates on whether the moccasin class will be happening during Woodsmoke? That is on the top of the list for one of the folks coming with us.

"Hard sole moccasin, buffalo tail fly switch and brain tanning furs these classes aren't really bush craft," you might want to take a poll on that statement... Table tennis is not bush crafting (in my humble opinion). I wish I was able to go I would take those classes.
