    We have set the date.

88 Tactical's Bushcraft meet is an opportunity to get out in the woods of our 160 acre Tekamah Facility and enjoy camping in the fall weather as well as fellowship with other outdoor enthusiasts.

    Activities will include:

    - Open Range
    - Tactical 10/22 fun shoot
    - Group Project - Parachute Shelter
    - Dutch Oven and Milk Can cooking
    - Trade Blanket
    - Tomahawk Throwing

Additional activities will be added as we work them out. And as always, there will be impromptu lessons on a variety of topics and an opportunity to learn from like minded people while enjoying 3 days/2 nights out in the woods.

**We will be sleeping in the outdoors, so attendees need to be self-sufficient and bring everything they need for food, shelter, and clothing. Attendees may arrive and depart at anytime during the weekend. Activities start Friday evening to allow those coming from work a chance to participate.**

Yes, but if it isn't spelled 'Tacical' on there, I'm not sure I'd be interested. :33::18:

After missing the last two, I'll have to see if I can get the vaca worked out. Believe I have some available floating days.

Depending on what we have left in the junk yard, we might be able to do a little bit of this during the weekend.

And even if we don’t have anything left, we can still do this, so long as we have access to your vehicle:).

@Kurt992 I just registered from this. However may have ran in to a minor snafu.... you mentioned the t-shirt with registration but didn't see that mentioned where they wanted like size info or anything like that. which is usually asked for so not sure if i some how missed that or what was up. was hoping you could get back to me with some clarification or even just PM me here

It's ok, Kurt will probably ask for tshirt size in a PM or email as the time gets closer. That's what he's done in the past anyway.

Okay gotcha just wasn't sure just wanted to make certain that I didn't miss anything.

so this will be my first one of these and I'm still pretty new to the whole Bushcraft world I'm pretty good at being self-sufficient I'm trying to actually start planning since it's only a couple months out now I like to be prepared...I'm pretty good at cooking by a fire however when it comes to a full weekend thing like this especially in a situation where it's more primitive style I haven't quite got the hang of meal planning in terms of things to bring to stay sustained without having to risk spoilage I was hoping maybe somebody could give me some ideas

@NordicWolf keep an eye out, a number of the meals usually have a group potluck option that most people participate in. That leaves you with only a couple of simple lunches to fix yourself. I've gone through an entire weekend with a handful of protein bars, some nuts, and cooking one pot of rice and chicken.

You very likely will not go hungry... i think i gained weight last year. Pitch in on the potluck/group meals, its good. Also you can bring a cooler for perishable items.

yeah I was hoping to avoid bringing a cooler just kind of do this is a shakedown run for a more proper Bushcraft camp where I wouldn't be able to have a cooler anyway.... For potluck or group meals I really didn't realize Netherworld group meals I thought we were supposed to fend for ourselves..... Also I don't really know the property very well is there actually a water source 1) I got a water filter that I've been wanting to try out...2) figure there's no sense of me bringing jugs of water if there was a stream or something I can get water from

There's usually a couple of water coolers or 5 gallon jugs around camp. A water run will be done when needed. There are facilities on site and if you need, can fill your water there. As for food, it's November, I'm sure it will be cool enough to keep food. I'm sure someone can loan you space in a cooler. It's not all that primitive there.
