    I will be there!

Not planning on being a vendor, just want to hang out, meet people, and learn a few things.

    Looking forward to it!

I reckon Herself intends to attend the 2 kilo kit course, and then she’s on the bill for doing a Tea and Titles book review thingy on Saturday. I’ll be out walking amongst the n’er do wells and vaux riens as usual, taking notes and lending them a hand...

Thinking about bringing my 6 year-old. Anyone have any advice on that for or against?

Working on some new recipes to demonstrate.

It’s always a great weekend, but the 6” snow storm caught everyone off guard last year!

Be sure to stop by and say hello...

Is it always in the same place? Also call me crazy, but why is there no snow in the pictures on the website?

In the last few years we have not had snow for the event... it's always the end of October and it's no telling what we will have for weather. Global warming has kept us in the "green" for this event all but last year. We had a freak 6" snow the first night last year (the pictures I showed) we all went to bed with having setup on green grass and woke to a blizzard.
It always seems odd to have a winter camping event with no snow... but we made up for it last year!

Camping is included in your registration. The only thing extra would be to stay in one of the cabins.

Camping is extra. 30 to camp for the weekend. Cabins are 30 a night. Registration itself is 30. So to come and stay for the weekend is 60 if your not staying in a cabin. Meals are extra on top of that.

Ok that is odd. Just went to register and they are not asking for the camping fee. They may ask you when you get to the event and check in. Not sure about that. There has always been a fee of 30 to camp for the weekend, as a heads up.

I have a call into them about this as well. No options for camping, lodge room or private room like they had up a few weeks ago.

Getting our gear loaded into the Jeep this PM, leaving Wolf Cairn Moor about 6:30 or 7 tomorrow AM,,, an hour and a half to Sturgeon Lake.

Herself has plans to do the “Two Kilo Kit” course tomorrow, and I have plans to stay in out of the rain, by the stove, and sipping strong black tea. I might venture out if the weather promises to respect my delicate nature...

Herself is doing a “Tea and Titles” thing Saturday afternoon, she’ll have hot water, tea, and cookies. If you want to share some of your favorite titles, and perhaps take note of a few more, please stop in. Free tea and cookies, and book talk, on a rainy day,,, sounds good to me, but I’ve been asked (sternly warned) to be elsewhere.
