I just put up 26 pints of ketchup. It’s a whole bunch of work but well worth it. I was given my great uncles mothers W. Va recipe. My great aunt used to make it with the tomatos my great grandfather grew and gave it as Christmas gifts. I’m good for a while and have Christmas gifts ready for the family

LOL. I have potatoes in the garden I'll start digging in a week or two. Not to start something but I don't like ketchup on potatoes. I dip fries in mao, sometimes with some ketchup mixed in, gravy and/or butter on mashed, and butter and seasoning on roasted. I use the ketchup mostly on burgers, dogs, and other tubular meat products. And sometimes I just eat it with a spoon out of the jar :4:

Wow! How many tomatoes did it take to make 26 pints?

I juiced one bushel of roma tomatoes. Ended up with just a little over 5 gallons.

You can make some tasty BBQ sauce from that ketchup too.
    Nice job!

Wife and i picked a large reusable shopping bag full of green, red, purple and jalapeno peppers. We diced them and dehydrated the whole lot. It's amazing to see all those peppers reduced to 1-1/2 quarts. I vacuum sealed them in canning jars. I save those little desiccant packets to add to my jars too. You can dry them in your dehydrator first.
