    Pretty excited about this one.
A nice little 1860's pattern bowie for a civil war reenactor. The blade is 5.5" long, 1/8" thick and forged from 1095 with a full flat grind. The handle is made from curly maple. The guard and cutlery rivets are brass. The overall length of the knife is 9.25". I'll be doing a sheath for it shortly.

That fits my mental template of a Bowie perfectly! Well executed and just plain nice to look at.

Here's the simple hand stitched leather sheath I did for it.

Just finished up a commission piece based off this knife. It's essentially the same thing but the handle is black canvas micarta. The steel is 1095 and the other hardware is brass.

Beautiful! This is the one to show to people that say "Bowies are really not suitable as general purpose trail knives."
