My wife just doesn't understand my excitement about wool clothes. Here a a few of my Wool finds in the past week or so. I know everyone here will understand.
A LL Bean wool shell zip up jacket I picked up for $12.99 20190201_211131.jpg
    A Filson zip up jacket I got for $25 20190201_211109.jpg 20190201_205945.jpg
A Orvis zip up wool sweater for $7.99 20190201_210035.jpg I also found a couple of lightweight merino wool shirts, a cashmere shirt, a silk shirt and a heavy sweater this week. Some of the lightweights have small holes but they are all still 100% wearable for me. I don't have the extra money to buy new ones so I'm pretty proud.

Where in the heck are you finding these incredible things for these obscenely low prices?

Dude!!! I’m so happy for you, and extremely jealous. There’s a lot of life in those garments, hope they serve you well. :)

Like @scottmm2012 said mostly from Goodwill. The Filson came from letgo. The guy was selling it for his dad and just had it labeled wool jacket. It had been on their for over a month. I couldn't believe it was a Filson when I got there. I even asked if he was sure 25 was all he wanted.

I don't think any of these jackets have been worn hardly. The Filson looks brand new as well as the Orvis. The LL Bean looks like it was lightly worn if any.

    Damn.

I have one of those Orvis sweaters. Bought it new for about $120.

Just happened to be in the right place at the right time. How do you like it and how has it held up?

Picked up these today for 26 bucks total. All but 1 are 100% the other is 80%. They had some others but they were uglier than me. 20190202_150124.jpg

Thanks now to just get the wife to get excited about it. She appreciates a good deal, but I've kind of gone a bit overboard to her.

I like it a lot, it's very warm and well made. The wind proof lining makes it much warmer if you don't have it under a shell, compared with other sweaters.

I haven't worn it much the past couple of years because I put on weight and it's snug.

This came from the same guy that had the Filson jacket. It's a Filson vest liner. $5 they were just trying to clear stuff out. 20190204_073816.jpg

I stopped into Goodwill yesterday. Picked up a sweater that was 80% wool for $4.80 after tax. [IMG]
The tag inside said "The GAP". That kinda surprised me. I didn't think the GAP sold anything made of wool.

Man now I have more I have to check, I usually don't even look at them if I see a gap tag. I'm kicking myself because I didn't buy a wool and cashmere trench coat the other day for 10 bucks, went back a few days later and it was gone.

I had gone to the sweater rack & most of them were polyester or acrylic, but this one just felt different. It was heavier in weight & more dense fiber. The GAP tag was at the neckline, but the fabric tag was sewn into the lower seam on the left side. It read 80% wool, 20% acrylic. SOLD!

Yeah that's where I've found a lot of tags. A lot of the merino wool ones are brands I certainly couldn't afford new.

At those prices you practically stole them! Good finds, especially the Filson . I bought a few old USA pocket knives in similar manner online basically labeled “Old Knife.” Good eye catching the Filson tag.
Old Navy (part of GAP) has used a wool blend in their jackets as well. It’s a 80 wool 20 other blend too I think.
I am currently on the lookout for a 4xl wool sweater.

I didn't find out they were Filson until I got there. Couldn't see the tag, just got lucky. I'll keep my eyes open in my travels.

So I've been looking for a button up wool flannel. Found one today for 9.99 and it was half off. Not bad for 5 bucks, it's a little big but I like bigger shirts. Picked up a few more sweaters as well. Wife says I need to stop. 20190211_205018.jpg 20190211_205014.jpg

Oh my word! Why didn’t you get picked up for shoplifting?!
I’m very happy for you and can’t imagine how excited you must be. I’m a wool lover too, and would consider your finds as winning Powerball.

Good score. Wool is scarce as hen’s teeth around here. I’ve looked and looked and looked and found very little.
