A pair of forged laminate knives

    The laminate was forge welded in my shop, consisting of a 15n20 nickel steel jacket around an 80crv2 core. The larger knife (DireWolf) is 3/8" thick at the widest with a heavy taper to the blade, in addition to the tang. The smaller blade (WolfPup) is 1/4" thick.

    They are hand polished to 1200gr and etched several times to aid in revealing the two different types of steel. The handles are made from natural linen micarta liners, and olive canvas micarta scales. They are held in place with stainless steel corby bolts and G-Flex epoxy. they both hand stainless threaded pommels.
