    Hi Bushcrafting Family,

I feel I owe an apology for not finishing my Hatchet review for Council Tool's Woodcraft Camp Carver. I've got about 6 spoons made, and bowl, but we have had some change of plans that hit home. In the past few weeks my wife and I have been running with our heads cut off because she is leaving tomorrow for a 90 day rotation in Afghanistan. On top of that we have been wrapping up all of our loose ends before she leaves and camping, vacationing, and having cook outs with the family as much as possible. On top of that we recently got a different vehicle so I could do a mountain of honey do chores on the house to find out it has a head gasket leak, lol. In no particular order I'm gonna send her off, fix the truck, replace the sub floors in the house, replace the roof on the house, re paint the interior, the porch and yadi yadi ya, lol.

You folks are like a second family, and I enjoy catching up with the goins on around here. Something tells me I'm gonna have a lot of time on my hands in the coming months so I look forward to participating in challenges , reviews, and knife porn pics once I find my tail again.

    Cheers everyone!

Thank your missus for her service:42:.
Let her know that, she, as well as all her fellow servicemen, and women, are always in our prayers.
We owe them a debt, that we can never hope to repay.

Thanks folks, the first half of 2019 has been busy, and the next three months will be steady, but it will all be fine. I've even got a couple of axes I'm finishing up in the spare moments, but time away from her isnt time well spent these last few weeks.

She is going to enjoy the deployment. When she gets back I hope to have completed quite a few things around the property. She will love that.

Don't worry brother, this is her second go round. I might be more apprehensive if it weren't for my own time spent there. She is in good hands, and I too will pray for her safe return.

We salute to all you Veterans that have served honorably. It was and is worth it for us.

I know a thing or two about needing to fix the truck before you can use it. I need to order an FDM for mine, I need two but I'll start with the front tank.

Thank your lady for her service, hoping for her safe return and future posts by you.

Please add my thanks for her service as well. My son spent a year in Iran, and I know how I felt as a parent. Brother was in 'Nam, and although I was young it wasn't a fun time. Prayers are with her!

And, you have plenty to do, shouldn't even notice she's gone... :D

Everything is going well with my wife's deployment. I don't know if y'all are aware of it but there is an app you can put on your phone called "Whatsapp" that allows text/video,voice calls over any internet service around the globe. I'm able to talk to her, see her face, and hear her voice any time she is available to call. It's been great for our communication. She says thanks for all the prayers and that she is on vacation. Lol

I managed to tackle some things on the Honey do list. I got the French drains dug. The roof replaced, and the painting completed. I rebuilt my Tacoma and it runs like a dream now. The last thing to do is replace the floors in my house. Saved the best for last right?

Well I told her about my list, and what all has been completed and she sent me a pretty funny shirt, and a Skrama with sheath for my up and coming birthday. What can I say, I'm a lucky dude.

Thanks for the well wishes, and prayers. Hope everyone is chugging along in this heat. I'm kind of looking forward to working inside for a change.
