South Mississippian myself, and I can attest to the high humidity! Pretty much swimming in a sauna year round here!

Thank you!!! It's amazing how everyone on here offers a sincere warm welcome. You don't get that in too many places these days. The brotherhood of the bush is a very humbling thing!

It's interesting to see which knives people have. I remember most of these when they went up for sale on the website.

Just got this convex AS Guide in trade. Very nice feel and well balanced knife. Gonna try it out as soon as I can. The mosaics on the firesteel and slide bead are a cool little custom touch.
The blade is a bit too shiny for me so I may work on that later and see if I can get it to a satin finish. After you get a chance to try them out I would love to know if you prefer the full height or the saber-convex. Unless they are safe queens and then the world may never know. :)

Lol not safe queens. I will do a lot more testing but with a quick feathering test the full convex feathers better. The sabervex is excellent though and would do better at heavier tasks. I'm not sure what grind I like more atm. I will give an update after my camp trip in 2 weeks.

The collection grows... Still have a woodsman waiting to come home to me, a huntsman not pictured and a couple fisherman that I'm waiting to see for the first time. When the band is back together, I'll snap a few more.

after seeing all these collections i'm beginning to suspect that the Mountaineer that i have on order is not going to be the last knife i purchase from AS...i feel a cold cold sweat running down my back...as well as a nasty glare from my wife...but much much happiness ahead!!!

It's never the last AS knife their will always be more. It's some sort of knife based mind control.

Forgot to add in my bucksaws. And an orange burlap huntsman was in the mail. But here's an updated one. Once the customs arrive in a few months, I'll have to snap another. :)

Here is the present collection minus the Huntsman I just picked up and two customs waiting to be delivered and I seem to always forget to include my Walker in the collection pics because I use it daily:

    Edited to add the Huntsman:

I see these knives and I'd like to invest in a table top belt sander, and table top band saw and go to making my own.

Hey @rcwells, in the group shot there are three knives tip up. I know the Fisherman, what are the other two?

    Beautiful collection!

The top one is the first AdSwo Hiker made, with Python micarta I believe it’s called, the one below it is a Buffalo Horn scaled Hiker, also a very early model. Iirc, Cody mentioned not long ago that maybe 30? of that style we’re made before they changed the design. Very light, very slicy.

They are all beautiful, but I really like the straight sided handle on the buffalo horn Hiker. Looks much different from their usual contoured handles, really nice!

It’s small, but has a really neat feel. Simple and this may sound odd but almost elegant. Totally unlike any other AS Knife I own. I wish they still made this design.
