What was your order number? My Mountaineer should be getting close at order #2695. I'm so excited.

I meant to post this in here....my custom Mountaineer arrived today and I have to say I am pretty blown away. I haven't been able to keep it out of my sight! I am equally impressed with the sheath and firesteel as well. Everything just feels so good with this knife. Double black canvas with a buffalo horn inlay and yellow liners. Life is good right now.

Never let it be said that the fine folks at Adventure Sworn don't know how to make a knife a functional piece of art! Gorgeous!

Added a lanyard pull to my Mountaineer. Black bear claw. It's our state animal, so it continues with the theme of the knife.

EDITED: Just noticed the claw's coloring matches the handle coloring. Sweet.

Hello folks! Here she is. AS Mountaineer with Arizona Desert Ironwood and black textured Micarta bolster (polished), 1/8 black textured Micarta liners (polished), heat-treat, tapered tang and brass pins. It is truly a pleasure to hold and I can't wait to get it into the forest and break it in. Cheers to Cody/Amber and the entire team at AS. What a great company.

Finally redid the lanyard pull how I wanted it on my Mountaineer. Made the beads today from some Whitetail Deer antlers I had in the basement. Don't judge my braiding too hard... I just taught myself today how to do it. It's a 4-plait round braid that starts at the bear claw, runs through the lanyard hole on the knife, then braids back over itself and ends tied off under the antler bead.

That is very cool and very unique. Best part is you did it yourself.

I have been thinking about what to do with some below average size boar tusks. That might be something to try.

Are they no longer accepting custom orders? It wouldn't let me make one. I sent a message and asked about it and got no answer.

They've talked about opening up certain models for customs down the road, but I haven't heard of any definite plans. For right now, they are doing a mix of "pre-mades" and "pre-orders".

Edit to clarify: opening certain models sequentially. So Classics open for custom for a while, then Mountaineers, then...Etc. (note, I don't recall them talking a out WHICH models, but I'd assume it'd be the popular ones first)

I’ll play. O1 scandivex, heat treat flats, tapered tang, burl scales (I think Buckeye?) and double liners. This knife is a beast and loves breaking down wood for fire prep.

It was a piece from a broken top of a hickory tree 2 to 3 inches in diameter and 3 foot long.

Adding my mountaineer. This is the third one I’ve owned. I think I’ll be holding on to this one.

I love convex grinds. They're just so much easier to deal with, but there is just something about that scandi grind that's so attractive...I need to pick up a Classic with a scandi cause they're just so good looking.

I didn’t love my convex mountaineer as much as I thought I would. Even though it performed slightly better than the scandi version there’s just something about a scandi and mountaineer that works so well. Convex classic is where it’s at.
