There has been a lot of discussion about this over at Hammock Forums. Personally, I like simple, and it's just got way too many bells and whistles for my taste.

Here's a video that might interest you...

If you're familiar with Shug, they gave him one to test out, and he has done a video or two on it as well.

Thanks, thats video has some important info. I like simple too, it usually means there are less things to break and thats good especially for me. This hammock does look like it would be super comfortable for car camping though.

I think it's best if you're about 5'10" or shorter. You have to get an inflatable pad with it so it would be expensive if you don't already have one.

Plus, as you mentioned, they are heavy so only really suited for car camping. But if I had some extra money just laying around I would probably get one to check it out. Looks like it would be comfortable.

Shug took his backpscking and love it. Seems like they would be comfy.

He said he liked, but you have to wonder how much he really liked it. Since his initial look-see and quick overnight trip, it hasn't made an appearance in any of his videos. I think he gave it a fair shake because Amok gave him one and asked him to, but it's doesn't seem to be one he takes out on his "real" backpacking trips.

Maybe. I'm the same with gear though. I take what I like the most.

It has its place I'm sure, just like Clark's. Little heavy but if you like it. You like it.

It is about the only hammock style I don’t have. I would like to get try one.
