No waning or waxing gibbous for our friends, plus everyone gets an extra hour to sober up.
Sounds good to me.
Kurt if you need a hand with camp prep or wood cutting I'm open during the week in the evenings. I just need to know where to cut from and where to put it. I'm 20 min away from camp. Easy drive for me
I met Kurt up at camp this afternoon and we cut a good bunch of wood for fires and such. I think we have enough cut. We will, however, want some help in moving/stacking/organizing the wood when some folks get here. Thanks for all of the kind offers!
If anyone wants to order anything from Bushcraft Outfitters and wants me to hand deliver it, please let me know. I can also bring demos of any products we carry if you want to check them out. I will be bringing some stuff for sale as well. I also have some Give away items to include stuff from Heavy Cover.
I can be the pack mule bro. Haha
Secret Squirrel Project pouches ready for the trip!
Well we got some good news today. Rich is going to be able to join us again this year. For those of you that didn't get to meet 'Chief' last year, he is one of Tom's good friends and he's a former SERE Instructor as well. Great guy to talk to and a wealth of information.
So should we order through the Web Site and check "Hand Delivered" for delivery option or just send the request through an email...
Just bring a couple of everything, Terry
Terry, I'm interested in checking out a Serechete and enhanced poncho. Still haven't got my head wrapped around the canteen carrier and roll, either. Too little space in my malfunctioning noggin.
Looks like great weather... cool enough to make it fun, not cold enough to make anyone cry. Yet.
Just PM me with your order I will bring it. You can bring cash
I have a sampling of gear that will be available to try out. I have a box of stuff that has peoples orders and other gear for sale. I have a box full of Give Away stuff ready to go. Now I just have to get my gear ready to roll. If you have any orders you want me to fill or want to see any thing in particular please send me a message or post up in this thread.
Sadly I'm only going to be able to make it for some of the camp. Happily, will deliver a guitar for Mr. Black on Friday and some Applepie Schnapps for all on Saturday! Safe travels. Jeff
Forecast for this weekend:
Bad news for me. The State of Minnesota's IT group has decided that they need our team onsite through Saturday morning, so I can't make it down after all. I'm pretty bummed. Please give Kurt and Greg a hard time for me and don't let Terry be a bully. I'll start planning for next year's gathering. Going to miss seeing everyone. Stay safe and have fun.
Sorry to hear that Justin. I'll get with you when the weekend's over and get your shirt sent out.
What a blast! Thank you(z) to one and all, to the instructors, and to 88 Tactical for a terrific meet and a great time. The camaraderie, mentoring, skills, generosity, food and drink, music, and respect were abundant and freely shared. Absent friends and loved ones were never far from our hearts, new friendships were struck, and old bonds strengthened.
See you soon, internet weirdos.
Can't wait to see some photos.
I sure had a great time!
I didn’t take many pictures, half of em are from our Saturday morning education on hare snare use and application, and tasteful rewards
Looking to base camp
Breakfast on Sunday
I had a great time. Always enjoy visiting and learning firearm knowledge from Kurt and Greg. Always walk away with info from Terry as well, sometimes it’s Bushcraft related sometimes...... Also I really enjoyed learning from “Chief”, very knowledgeable, humble, and very easy going. Without a doubt, he is an excellent teacher. Learned a lot in a little bit of time.
Also blown away with the generosity of the giveaways, food, drink, and general fellowship. Received gifts from several friends, they know who they are, Thank You,
I’ll add some pictures tomorrow.
Great great time. Can’t believe I missed it last year.
It was finally great to meet you brother.
@Gsamp or @Kurt992, do you want us to start a new thread for pictures and reports, or do you want us to continue adding them here?
Just keep adding them here.
No pictures from me. Dagnab iPhone technical difficulties. What is the sound of one hand clapping? It's me, trying to recharge and restart my phone's dead battery due to the cold. Feh!
Here is a few I took.

This is what happens when you get bored plinking stumps. The gun held 'Minute of Shovel' at 50 yards.
There's always stuff left behind.
These are all I have. I spent most of my time just taking it all in. Thanks to all that came out and joined us.
who forgot their ATV?
sorry I missed it -- looks like a grand time.
As per usual , no pics from me.
But it was a fun time with great people none the less.
The classes and range time were awesome.

I am sitting here crying that I missed this one. poor poor me
Damn, fellas! Looks like one helluva good time. I can't believe I've had to miss two years in a row. Hopefully I'll be in camp in 2018. I'm so glad everyone had such a great time. Looking forward to more pics and stories. Cheers!
Prepping the second parachute.
Attentive students during snaring class.
Foxfire demonstrating a bird snare. It was great to see you again this year!
I need to give a big thanks to those who made the weekend possible. Kurt, Greg, Terry, Chief Master Rich, Black, and Cro for instruction and teaching.
Thanks @rphumble for all the cooking you did.
Thanks to those involved in the giveaway. I came away with a cool wool surplus shirt from @AlexBravo
@foxfire had some cool patches specially made that he gave out.
And to the one who gave me a pack, you know who you are! Thanks so much!
Plus we have yogaa**.com.
Does anyone have a picture of the ember Mr. Black got with the 1 stick bowdrill, hickory on hickory, with hickory bearing block and hickory bow?
Hmmm... Don't this he ever got one. Must have been the WSK. That thing is so heavy that it prolly tired him and and kept him from making an ember.....Haha!
I didn't take many pics this year. @Gumbi thanks for posting my pic of the Ojibwa bird pole. Was fun showing people another type of snare.
Im a litte late to the party but I wanted to pop in and say UGE heartfilled thanks to all the folks that made yet another epic 88Tactical/BCUSA meet happen. its always a great Honor to hang in the land of the Warbirds.big thaks to the logistics Man as well as life support, the galley, all of the great instructionals and Terry's mobile pro shop(I'm in the works of designing a pack frame akin to the whisk and treen men of olde so he can be more mobile lol) hope all are well and it was great to hang with the Eagles again...
It was some work but a coal was birthed as well as fire you must of been chopping celery lol
Got a pic of Gsamp arriving for the meet!
Broccoli, I was chopping broccoli! Hahaha. Good to see you again brother.
Great shot, John~! I think I did have that coat some time in the late 80s. It looks like you got this shot after I dropped off a bunch of my stuff already! Hilarious.
Here's another one. I think I was greeting one of the guys!!!
*go to 1:37 for the relevant bit
Every time I see the Sun Times in Zion I think of that movie!
Had I not read that, I'd have likely gone to my grave never knowing. Went to look at my shirt...sure as shit...lol
It better be. I put in an amazing amount of time and effort into watching that thing being built.
