I have one in my vehicle, and have made a hooded pullover out of another. Not near as nice as a GI but for the price, not too bad. At least if was to get trashed, it wouldn’t be a big loss.

Got a couple in the trunk of the car. They don't come inside.

Have a couple for emergency use. Like Scotchmon said, you don't worry about trashing them.

Nope, i put myself in some nasty situations while practicing survival and bushcraft. I try to only use wool blankets, I've used cheap blankets and expensive. Here's my honest opinion..

Always prepare for the worst and think worst case scenario. Would you bet your life on a cheap wool blanket? I wouldn't. I would rather dish out a couple hundred bucks and get a quality queen size 100% blanket than have my feet go numb half way through the night and shiver uncontrollably until sunrise. Been there, done that and let me tell you it sucks. I bought a pricy blanket just out of curiosity and yep i'm not going back. Its a game changer when the weather gets cold and nasty.
