I noticed a buck close to the road on the way home from the store this morning. It had some lumps but not much else to make a note of his rack.

I don't use trail cams, I have one, but have not actually put it out due to hunting mainly public land.

I figured with the wet Winter in my area they might have had more bone growing then they seem too have.

Saw a buck last week almost as wide as his ears. He'll be a good one.

A fork horn on the side of the road last week, and some really nice cam pics of a couple of others on my friends property in Cairo.

I saw a doe and fawn yesterday. Strawberry coats still.
Might be time to put the memory card back in the camera.

Nothing but stumpy fuzzy nubs here in northern Wisconsin so far.

A friend of mine has private property in eastern Kansas and he uses trail cameras all the time - he has numerous bucks with fantastic racks fully covered in velvet of course, and a button buck on film with funny looking fuzzy bumps on his head. The last pics he showed me were dated and time stamped from 6/28

Yep, several with full racks. A dead buck by the road last week. Thankfully someone came by and cut the head off so it didn’t go to waste. I almost stopped, but didn’t have a saw.

    No kidding.
That's illegal here. Even if you hit the buck yourself and call it in, they keep the rack.
I guess it's supposed to keep people from aiming their cars.

Some cool replies. Good to know some are seeing bone growth in NYS.

I won't be getting into full on scouting mode for a few more weeks. I always look for sign when hiking or camping though.

I love seeing them this time of year, just starting antler growth, the red coats they get for the Summer slowly starting to fade over the next month or so.

Here in North Idaho some are building some impressive mass already. I’m getting excited!

Saw several roadkilled deer on the way to/from NY/MD this weekend, to include a couple fuzzy-antlered bucks... one looked like a spike, just little nubs; the other was likely a 4 pt. Nothing live, and I had a trail cam messed with by some local kids (took me a week to find where they'd thrown it) back in early May, so I've not had the cams out much lately.

Still nothing. I see a few deer behind my house a couple of times a week but all look to be Does so far.

My brothers property butts up against a farmer who has a food plot, most evening there are 4 bucks feeding, including an albino. When I was there, Whitey didn't show, but there is decent growth on 2 of the other bucks, with the 3rd having a deformed beam on it's left side. Had a good close look with nice optics for awhile

North GA. This is the still image that the camera captures before starting video. In the movie you can see that he's traveling with a doe of similar size. (Don't have the video on my phone.)

Driving home about 8pm in downtown Aberdeen, MD, earlier this week... corporate office next to a woodline, nice lawn. Pretty nice guy, 8-10 pt in velvet, out eating grass.

I live in a suburban area and I'm seeing three bucks in velvet. One is gonna be a spike or possibly a four pointer. The other two are fairly nice already. Both of them will be eights, one of them slightly taller than the other. I keep telling myself that I need to get some corn and a mineral block for them but keep forgetting.

There’s a nice buck we see out near the road, and he making a run at a good set of antlers. My money is on him getting car killed, or poached, before hunting season...

Yesterday, I saw a young buck at the gate going into my hunting lease. Looked to be a 4-pt in velvet.

Some very short in CT. I have been seeing more bears than deer lately.
