    April 28th - Bushcraft Show

    Does anyone want to go to the New England Bushcraft Show?

    It is in April over in Charlton, MA? I'm helping the organizers (508 International) and can get discounts for BCUSA members. DM me for details.

    I’m going with my oldest son and a friend and his son. We were thinking about camping well we’re there. We’d probably get there around 8 Friday night and stay until Sunday. Not that the ticket cost is high at all I’d definitely be interested in a discount code. Also can you or anyone else recommend a camping area not far from where the show takes place? We’re good with primitive camping or campground, although I prefer primitive. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    @Desmond Armstrong

    Im trying to get an occupancy permit with the town to allow camping on the site. We have 22 acres of woods, which is plenty of space. But, unless the town approves it, we cant do it.

    I camped at wells state park before. Also have camped at DAR State Forest in Goshen.

    Do you have any idea when you’d know if they’re going to allow the camping on site? That would be awesome. I’ll check out your other recommendations in the meantime. Thanks for the reply.

    Also, can you let me know if there’s a discount code to use before I purchase 4 tickets? Thanks

    The event was a great time! Great location with lots of room to expand for next year. The folks that I talked to during the day at our booth all said they were having a blast. The vendor list and instructor list were spot on for a Bushcraft show. It was great to see sooo many bushcraft people all in one place. The movement is growing here in the Northeast for sure. We talked to people that had driven from as far as 8 hours away. Being it was the first year for the show there can be some improvements made. We can't wait for next year's event. It's only going to get better from here. So glad we got to be a part of it. All of the other vendors and all the instructors we talked to were awesome people. The promoter was very accommodating and did a great thing by putting this show together. Two thumbs up from this guy. :dblthumb:

    That's awesome! I ramrod a primitive/bushcraft/trad archery gathering mid-summer in eastern Maine, and I think it's high time us folks in the east have some major events of our own. As much as I'd love to go to Wintercount or Rabbit Stick, truth is it probably ain't happening anytime soon. I'm guessing I'm not alone on that.

    Unfortunately was not unable to, having back trouble and thought it better to stay low and not aggravate it further. This getting old thing can suck at times. Cheers C

    Sorry I'm just seeing this and just now responding. Haven't been on in awhile. Anyways, my son and I had a good time. For a first year everything went fairly well. I'm sure with each passing year it will only get better. Looking forward to being more involved at next years show and seeing it continue to expand and grow. It's nice to be able to have a show like this closer to home. It was a four hour drive for me. Got to meet some great people and enjoy some time with my oldest son.
