Holy criminy, my daughter wants archery lessons.

I've only shot two arrows with a bow so she isn't going to get lessons from me. She's in Cheektowaga so I'd like to find someplace near her, especially with poor weather on the way.

Here's the kicker...she's 21(yeah, I know, sounds like the start of a joke but we're talking about my daughter). I never thought she would be interested. Very cool.

Any of my WNY brothers or sisters have a favorite place for archery lessons? I've contacted Doc's and am waiting on a couple ranges to give me a call back but your input would be appreciated.

    thanks,

    dave

I think it was offered at her high school. She probably wasn't interested when it was "free".

Doc's seems to be the place to go. My son just bought a bow and had Mark at Doc's set it up for him. Mark also gave him a quick informal lesson and let him test it out on the range. He charges $25 for an hour lesson.
Wolcott guns on Walden ave in Depew has an indoor archery range, but I don't know if they give lessons

Another option may possibly be Niagara Outdoors in North Tonawanda. The owner's name is Jeff and he is an avid archery guy. If he doesn't give lessons, he may know someone who does.

Got hold of the folks at Doc's. My daughter is looking forward to her lessons but she wants to start after the college semester ends. I think she's just trying to get another Christmas present from me.

    Thanks

Post how it goes. My sons might be interested in archery lessons and I’ve heard about all of the options you listed.
