just some little notes from my journal and a maverick hs 12 ammo cost is around 15.46 for 25 rounds so around 61.84 cents per round ammo weight is .8915 ounce 25 yards modified choke. aguilla mini shell. the mini shells were bought at one shop that carries them, lots more places carry 410. They are 7 and 1/2 shot. 25 yards improved cylinder .9615 no adapter needed ammo cost was around .65 cents per round. for if some reason given some 410 ammo and you have a choked shotgun, not bad for an adapter I guess. Not sure what resale on 410 is like. Or making your own 12 gauge mini shells if you wanted a l ower recoil solution for a kiddo or whatever. 18 mini 12 gauge shells fit in a 3" 410 box that holds 25 410 shells. carried weight is 17.3 ounces with 12 to 410 adapter in the 3" 410 box can fit around 19 410 shells. carried weight 20.9 ounces just some quick thoughts with my HS 12 double barrel, t op and bo ttom barrel m odified and cylinder bore choke tubes that came with the gun, and aguilla mini shells and 3" 410's. -Scott
not show are platform weights. How low can you get a 12 and what's the average weight of a 410. How does that 410 pattern? Do you miss the option of more powerful 12 or 20 gauge loads? How critical are those weights for you? just some thoughts.
I see some pretty big gaps in those patterns. Have you placed a clay over any of them? Id like loads that patterned better than what Im seeing here.
