Atlatl info help.

    I'm building an atlatl and can't find an answer,so maybe someone can help. How much "spur" should protrude outward? Thanks for your help.

    That looks pretty good for a forward spur. I think the ones I make are between 1/4-1/2”

    I'd set it around 1/4" tall...slide the butt of the dart down the loading groove, and it should line up almost automatically with the spur. If you have to fiddle with it to get them connected, it's probably too tall.

    Neat looking thrower; can we see the whole thing?

    I can adjust the height,I put a leather pad on the bottom per something I had read. When finished ,I'll post the end results.
