Out of my abilities right now, but I agree about thinner. I have a Forester in 3/32 and it is wonderful. Good luck to the bidders and magnificent work Jonathan! A true gift.

I really wish I could throw down on this one. Beautiful taper on that beauty. Is that lanyard tube a drilled out micarta pin? Very nice piece of work, Jonathan!

Thanks! It is a micarta tube actually. The micarta ages, especially the natural micarta tends to darken. After a while all these differences in shades will blend nicely.

This is the first Deering offering with a bolster that I've seen, my goodness, not sure if there are anymore . Congrats to the lucky recipient of this blade!

Not only that but what sort of insane genius/artist does a tapered tang on a 5/64ths blade? This one is special in many ways.

Beautiful work right there! I'm a fan of the thinner blades myself and that's a dandy!

Yes, first bolstered blade and the first 5/64" blade other than my personal one. Even 5/64" looks thick to me now.

As a Canadian I definitely see more use in the knife than the gun! But it's also a nice gun

    Yes!!!
I had thought my Deering Sami in 3/32 was the perfect knife... Now I really want to try this thinner steel. Jonathan has made me a firm believer in the thinner steels.

This is a beautiful knife and good luck to those bidding!

If you like a knife that cuts well thin is the way to go! I have always preferred the thin blades. The SBT is 1/8" and refered to as a "prybar" by Mors!

Dang I look at this knife almost daily. It is far and away my real deal grail. If someone is tired of it I'll make you a trade offer of a life time.
