Nothing there cept GSTs...
Hopefully some more CFK goodness after my stuff on the trade blanket sells ;p
The BBT's are up for sale.
Got the s7 one! (hopefully)
You got it. Thanks!
That green and black micarta Tusker looks amazing! I wholeheartedly wish my house wasn’t still under construction. I’d snap that one up fast!
@ArmyMacE 80CrV2 steel is legit. It rocks at 60 rc.
Haha great, 3h45am here, i almost gave up
They look awesome! I think I'm set on 8" tuskers at 3 lol
I have yet to try 80crv or S7. I’ve been working on picking up the funds to get some of your blades in those steel types... but lots of home repairs and construction projects has these wants on hold.
Sorry i shut down my pc before pasting the screenshot
80CRV2 is one of my favorite steels. Works great in both big and small knives. It's very easy to sharpen, gets a nice toothy edge but can hold a fine one if you go that route. Edge holding is pretty respectable and toughness is great, it's a lot like 5160 with better edge holding ability. In my opinion, S7 is pretty ideal for a larger knife though 80CRV2 can handle whatever you dish out. 80CRV2 outshines S7 in a small to medium sized knife though. One of the most well rounded steels out there. Would love a thin bladed Polaris in 80CRV2. Scott's HT is on point!
Four A2 steel Polaris now available.
@S.Gossman im glad I didn’t know they were finished when I was there, it might have gotten more expensive. Thanks again.
I do believe I have my first Gossman on the way
Woah those look great. I'm loving your A2 it's plenty tough rediculously easy to sharpen and holds an edge forever. Kept my ULP shaving sharp for months of daily use with only leather and a smidge of green compound
@Murman hah I just noticed your avatar. An ode to Gossman steel.
great seeing you @Chris keating There were two Polaris finished when you stopped by. Just finished the other two when you left.
Even if i'll get both models, i'm hesitating getting a polaris or ULP first when some stainless go out
I've got two Polarises, but I'd love a 3rd in A2 with python micarta.
Now available, 5" blade Tusker, CPM 3V steel.
Damn i was at work, congrats to the lucky one!
I hope more of these are on the docket! Or even better some with guards.
Perfect lines on this one Scott!
Now available. https://shop.gossmanknives.com
For once I actually had good timing and was able to grab this Tusker. I couldn't have asked for a better combo if I'd been able to order it directly. I'm super stoked to get it into the woods.
Thank you. The guarded Tuskers have always been a favorite from customers.
I think I just got the last Polaris, I hope so! The website was being a little quirky, or maybe it was my phone, anyway I’ll check my email for the invoice when I get home...
PS, Yay, I got it, thanks Scott!
Post office closed today in observance of the mourning of George H. W. Bush. RIP.
I will get the sold knives shipped tomorrow.
You’ll have another to pack up when I get home tonight if no one else snags it
Now available. CPM 1V. If you like S7, you'll like 1V.
That Tusker is lights out!
You have a large social media footprint these days. What platform has the most up to date inventory of your stock/offerings? Do you show upcoming pieces through IG and here and then list through your store?
Request... 1/8"-5/32"ISH Tuskers with guards please. A2 or 3V. Ground thin.
How's post retirement life? Never mind, I know your livin' it. Nice knives, as always! Cheers!
And their gone, just like that! Doesn't take long when you build the best knives on the planet.
Mine... all mine! Lol
what did you get?
A knife, how bout you?! ;p (cfk)
Nothing, I can't afford one.
I know the feeling. Save up!
Being retired, and on a fixed income, will not allow for that. I was blessed to have had one gifted to me, so for that I'm thankful.
Enjoying retirement from the other job and it's nice to concentrate on knifemaking fulltime. Thanks for asking. I don't make Tuskers less then 3/16" thickness, only in CPM steels, I use oversized 5/32" which ends up being .180" thick. 3/16" is .187. Tusker Companions are 5/32" thick.
the old saying is to buy once and cry once , i have found with Scots knives it is buy once, beat the daylights out of it and wonder why it too so long to buy in the first place. There is a reason they sell fast, People have a problem in selling them and most only sell because they have to and don't want to.
save up as they are worth it.
got this one last month and have already found that it makes a great camp knife.
Gossman Big Boar Tusker in 4v 5.25
Do you ever made TCs in 1/8" or is that just for the smaller models?
Okay. Thanks for responding. I bought a puukko from you years ago. It's nice, stellar performer. I'd like to score a larger model, with a guard. However, liter, thinner. Ill set-up some alerts, keep an eye out.
if I started saving right now, I would be dead by the time I had enough to buy one. Being retired, and on a fixed income is harder than most people think.
I was blessed to have had a Polaris gifted to me by a extremely kind, and generous member, for which I'm grateful. member
I can not be greedy, so I will continue to enjoy the one I have.
Now available, S7 Kubo II.
Sadly I have to restrict myself to only buying one Gossman this week; otherwise that python Kubo is a real looker.
Kubo II is just a straight up gorgeous blade.
