zedion received it on Dec. 23. I haven't gotten around to composing my review yet but I'll sit down and get it done tomorrow.

    Into the home stretch!

I love pass arounds like this to give the knife a bit of history and travel mileage. Good stuff.

Just a check in as I near the end of my time with the Patriot.
I'll be sending it back:17: to Sean after the weekend and plan on having my thoughts up no later than mid-week!:22:

    Same and same.

At first look, this is not the sort of knife I would normally give a second look, but after the first time handling it, and then much use playing it with, it didn't take long to become attached and appreciate all that can be done with it, not only effectively, but with great pleasure as well.

Same here. Super capable and punches above its weight class, comfortable and maneuverable.......... what's not to like.

My thoughts on the Patriot - It's stout, it's slicey, it's small enough to pack lightly and tough enough to handle everything I've thrown at it. I was surprised how comfortable the handle is for a smaller knife, as I tend to gravitate towards bigger ones. The edge is easy to sharpen and maintain, batonning and feathersticking with it was a pleasure. Sure, it couldn't baton through thick branches, but for its size and using reasonable sized wood it's pretty straight forward and performed well. I was carving a well seasoned wood into a spoon blank and it sliced a lot better through the dry wood than some of my other knives, and with its smaller size, it handled finer detail work a lot easier with more control. Overall I really like its compactness and having enough blade length to handle most work.

I will be doing a drawing for the knife tomorrow.
Should I put the knife through a spa treatment or do you want to keep the patina that has begun to form from this pass around?

That knife earned its patina through use, and good old fashioned badassery. I vote keep it!!!!

That is a great thing to wake up to!

Thanks @SeanC all of the other participants! This will be a great little piece of BCUSA history to own and use as an EDC!

I'll be showing it off at the carving meet here in about a month.

    Thanks again!

IMG_0872.JPG It arrived at its new home today! Love this little blade, and I think all of the reviewers fell in love with it in their own ways. Thanks again for the journey it has taken, ending up back here!
