So with some talks with Chris Killinger who just held his first Axe hafting class in Ohio (see video below), we want to put together another one but up here at my place, in Upstate NY in the Saratoga region. I will be hosting, and supporting instructor as well. Class will be on April 2nd, starting in the morning 9am, and go until it's done. We are looking for a minimum attendance of 5, HOWEVER if it turns out more want in, we have plenty of wiggle room. My shop is more than big enough. Here is an outline of the class price and what comes with it. -Cost. $75 each person, at this time we are looking for a minimum of 5 to do the class. HOWEVER we have PLENTY of wiggle room for more and with two instructors can manage it. Fee will need to be paid in advance and is not refundable. If for any reason the class has to be canceled, refunds will be given. Payment options will be paypal, money order, or personal check (must clear of course lol) Class will include, - 1 vintage american made axe head, and an American hickory handle. - The full use of my shop to completely restore an axe using just hand tools. We will teach and assist everyone to insure you have a full understanding of the process. - Lunch, I'm sure I will have plenty of coffee available. - Leave class with a complete hafted, and sharpened axe. Contact either me here via the PM function or Chris at firstname.lastname@example.org for more details, or secure your spot. Additionally. Safety waivers will need to be signed before you can begin the class. Here is a snow covered pic of the School House where the class will be held. Here is a video of the first class in Ohio, I am sure I missed something, and will update if I do. Otherwise ask in your message.
